Changan Automobile exhibited key vehicles at the Macau Auto Show

The 4th China (Macau) International Automobile Exhibition opened on 7 November 2014 at the Macau Venetian Exhibition Center. Changan Automobile brought along its most popular vehicles to demonstrate the strength and success of its current lineup.

Company President Zhang Baolin attended the Automobile Commercial Development Forum, delivering a speech entitled "Continue Innovation and Build Changan into an International Brand.”

Mr. Zhang said that China currently produces about 20 million vehicles per year - approximately a quarter of the global market - leaving 75% of automotive production on the table. He said that Chinese brands need to become confident and active participants in global competition. Mr. Zhang believes three core exercises will place Chinese vehicles among the strong contenders in the global marketplace: (1) employing international strategic thinking and leveraging global resources, (2) building an international talent team, and (3) building international standards and systems.

At the Macau Auto Show, Changan Automobile’s 600 square meter display area housed the Raeton, CS75, CS35, Eado XT, and New Benni, making Changan the participant exhibiting the most models.

On the first day of the show, the former Macau Chief Executive He Houhua spent some time at the event and visited Chinese automotive brand displays. At the Changan Automobile Exhibition Center, Mr. Zhang introduced Mr. He to Changan’s various vehicles and the current state of development. When Mr. He asked a few questions about the Eado electric car, Mr. Zhang’s positive answers demonstrated the progress of the Chinese automotive industry.
