Eado City Action Changan Contestants Visit Turin Design Center

The “Eado City Action” event in Turin Italy brought over a dozen contestants to our Italian design studios. The contestants were invited to see and experience the craftsmanship and 21st century tools used to create fine automotive designs.

 

During their visit, the contestants saw each phase of the design process. Designers made this a hands on experience by leading the contestants through each step. The result was that each contestant was able to create their own small scale car design in clay and take it home as a souvenir.

One may ask, how did the lovely town of Turin Italy become an important part of Changing’s Global design operations? Since the 1900, Italy has stood at the center of global vehicle design excellence. Turin’s vast pool of vehicle designers have long been the driving force behind Italian vehicle design. In 2006, Changan naturally established its first oversees design facility in Turin. Today, Changan Italy has more than 100 employees working on future Changan cars.

A taste of Italian style and charm Contestants, after the design center tour, drove EADO sedans to visit the National Automobile Museum in Turin, Italy, experiencing the unique charm of Italy at the wheel of a Changan.

The National Automobile Museum of Turin is one of the oldest automotive museums in the world. It has many one of a kind prototypes from some of the most exclusive automotive brands in history. Because of its enormous collection, this museum is called "the dream land" by automotive enthusiasts. Changan’s very own CS95 concept car, with its unique charm, became the first Chinese brand to be inducted into the museum. Changan’s designer Andreas Zapatinas was also selected to join the museum’s Hall of Fame, which serves as a testament to the depth of talent on Changan’s design team.

Whether it is in the fashion capital of Milan or the charm of Florence, EADO during this trip attracted a lot of attention on the streets. EADO fit in with both cities perfectly.

During this fabulous trip, Changan not only let its consumers experience the charm of EADO’s origins, but also showed how international the Changan brand has become. Looking forward, Changan will strive to deliver high quality products and reach out to its customers throughout the world with more fun and interactive events.
