Changan announced the official launch of the all-new Eado on July 25th in Qingdao in eastern China.  Both the new Eado and new Eado XT have five-model lineups that showcase extraordinary improvements in the car's performance and features. 

With sturdy chassis and three major noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) technology upgrades, the new Eado XT models exemplify power.  This is complemented by a stylish exterior and premium interior for that excellent blend of comfort, intelligence, and reliability.  The new Eado/Eado XT models are also fuel-efficient, distinctive, and practical.  These characteristics are reshaping how Chinese cars are viewed on the world stage. 

With its boosting power, the 1.6L engine type brings about a 1.8L experience.  Changan's new Eado is equipped with a 2nd generation Blue Core 1.6L GDI all-aluminum engine, with a compression ratio of up to 11.8, 168 N m maximum torque, and output close to that of a 1.8L engine.  This yields greater efficiency and torque per liter compared to other cars in the same category.

With its chassis upgrades and new technology, the new Eado represents more than 20 years of expert research.  A good portion of the development took place at Changan's US R&D Center near Detroit.  It's worth mentioning that the chassis and special system have both passed stringent tests usually reserved for professional rally racing, proving the high quality of the product.

Through practical experience and tests in the Changan Rally Series, the new chassis has proven to have quality, durability, and excellence. 

The Eado XT series' NVH was greatly improved in the automobile department of the NVH national laboratory.  Fifteen different materials were used to reduce the effect of noise and vibration, allowing it to travel quietly under various road conditions.

Style:  The design of the new Eado comes from Changan's largest overseas R&D center, located in Italy.  The new design is in line with up-to-date automotive trends, making it one of the most stylish rides on the market.

State of the art interior and improved quality:  The new Eado has an all-new interior design.  The redesigned instrument panel uses new green technology, making it more environmentally friendly.

Intelligence upgrade:  The newly upgraded In-Call system can be connected to the Baidu CarLife navigation system via cell phone.  This is compatible with iOS, Android, and other major operating systems.

Air conditioner with variable frequency:  The new Eado is equipped with a displacement compressor and intelligent ventilation function which regulates and improves the interior air quality.  A temperature control button and a demisting function provide a more comfortable driving experience.

Improved safety:  The new Eado has been certified with a C-NCAP 5-Star safety body, and has passed China's first FMVSS 208 (North American safety standard) public test, reaching international safety standards.
