CS15 launched in three South American countries

The CS15 launched simultaneously in Chile, Peru, and Bolivia with a media test drive on October 18th.  Media reps from the three countries assembled in Antofagasta, a city in northern Chile.  The journalists drove the vehicles through the Atacama Desert to experience CS15 and test its performance.  The caravan captured a great deal of attention.

The test drive began north of Antofagasta, stretched into the Atacama Desert and its salt lake - traversing a distance of 500 km.  CS15's driving stability, ground clearance, and traction were tested by rugged mountains, dry desert, and changing terrain and traffic conditions encountered along the way.  Long hours behind the wheel require comfort.  And CS15 showed the media that it's up to the challenge.  The two most prominent Chilean newspapers, El Mercurio and La Tercera, showed Changan much appreciation in their reviews.  With CS15's simultaneous three-country launch, CS15, CS35, and CS75 SUVs are now available in Chile and Peru.  Expansion of Changan's SUV product line availability opens a new chapter in the Andes region for the company.  This is also the first time that Changan has launched vehicles in three countries simultaneously.

Due to its geographical position, Atacama Desert, known as the "Dry Pole," is one of the world's most arid areas.  It is on this seemingly barren landscape that nature has provided an expansive salt flat, snow-capped volcanoes, the beautiful Moon Valley, and mineral mines.  These rich resources once led to the War of the Pacific in South America at the end of the 19th century.  One hundred years ago, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia were involved in a war here.  In 2016, the three countries gathered here again for the CS15 launch.
