Changan Automobile held a grand launch event to mark the start of our Extreme Heat Challenge on July 30th. 

The Heat Challenge is a massive driving event in which our team of experts will travel through three countries.  After months of planning, the day to set off had finally arrived.  Officers from the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah and general managers of Changan dealerships in Saudi Arabia all attended the event.  A few more prominent local guests made speeches to wish the team good luck on their adventure. 

Also attending were members of the local media, online influencers, and local Changan vehicle owners.  They all got a chance to take a CS95 for a spin and test its performance on an obstacle course.  Some influencers even took the opportunity to set up live streams to share their excitement for the CS95 and to experience the event in real time with their fans.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Changan has embarked on the Extreme Heat Test, but this year's route is longer and more extreme than any of the previous endeavors.  A test team consisting of eight engineers will drive a selection of CS95s and CS35s to test their performance in the scorching heat and complex road conditions.

After the departure ceremony had concluded, the test team embarked on this journey which will take them through three countries.  They will have to traverse an impressively long distance so that Changan can ensure that it produces the highest quality vehicles for its consumers in heat-stricken regions.
