A media test drive event was held for the Changan New Eado XT RS on Fairy Hill in Chongqing City on August 15th and 16th.  This new sport model is intended for young consumers.  As such, "Drive with Passion" was the event's tagline.

New Eado XT RS's appearance shows red and black contrast colors.  It has a sharp grille surrounded by a smooth frame with exclusive "RS" badging.  The badge is also affixed to the rear.

The Eado XT RS's interior style echoes its outward appearance.  The passenger cabin features sports seats clad in red and black materials.  The console is equipped with a new 10.1-inch LCD screen which is easier to operate.  Air conditioner performance has also been enhanced for New Eado XT RS.  Equipped with a 7V16 variable displacement compressor that increases displacement from 140 cc to 160 cc, the new A/C offers consumers a more ideal in-car temperature experience by increasing the outlet area, reducing wind resistance, providing variable outlet temperature, and other optimization measures.  The car also has defogging.

New Eado XT RS's best feature is its 1.5L turbocharged GDI Blue Core engine which reaches 125 kW maximum power at 5500 rpm when paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with 270 Nm maximum torque at 1750 to 4000 rpm.  In addition, the engine's oxygen sensor increases power by 40% and torque by 65%.

The high-efficiency powertrain improves gear-shift responsiveness and enhances the gear-shift experience without power failure.  It also controls the downshift of multiple gears within 1.7 seconds.  The layout is optimized for transmission shifting with low noise.

Eado XT RS is equipped with the In Call intelligent, interactive system featuring dynamic navigation which can update map and traffic data in real time.  It also possesses Baidu's CarLife, iOS, Android, and other operating systems.  It also has synchronized operation speeds.

The New Eado XT RS offers comfortable, convenient operation by virtue of its chassis system, electric power steering, electronic stability control, hill hold control, passive keyless entry, one-button start, and other advanced technologies which are comparable to those found in joint venture vehicles.

The New Eado XT RS will officially launch at the 2017 Chengdu Motor Show.  At that time, Changan's Eado model lineup will be more perfect.
