Changan Automobile and Almajdouie Motors Company (Changan's authorized distributor in Saudi Arabia) recently got together to mark the launch of an environmentally focused planting initiative.  This program seeks to plant trees and seedlings in cities across the Kingdom with the support of local councils who will select suitable urban areas for the project.

This enterprise is directed by social media activist and influencer Mohannad Al-Ghamdi.  "The initiative to plant trees across Saudi cities coincides with the government's increased interest in providing larger green areas across the Kingdom.  It will definitely have a positive outcome with many people directly benefiting from these new green areas," Al-Ghamdi explained.  "In fact, many volunteers and keen social media activists have just finished implementing the first two stages of the project in Jeddah City (Al Basateen Village) and the country's capital, Riyadh.  As the weather improves, more seedlings will be planted and (the) initiative will be developed concurrently across the remaining cities of the Kingdom."

This program is closely supported by a team of volunteers and activists who work hand-in-hand to achieve objectives.  Coinciding with the initiative's launch, a convoy of Changan cars also set off on the Extreme Heat Challenge, venturing through the heat that engulfed the Kingdom's cities.

Al-Ghamdi went on to say, "The goal of this initiative is to increase green areas across the Kingdom, taking inspiration from the programs of various social services."
