Changan Automobile invited some of the world's top automotive journalists to a test drive at company headquarters in Chongqing, China.  The auto writers were given the opportunity to review the latest range of Changan SUVs on September 1, 2017.  Auto Express, Autocar, Top Gear Magazine, and other media organizations attended.

The journalists offered assessments of Changan vehicles:

Richard Ingram of Auto Express concluded that, "...The Changan CS55 is in fact a worthy competitor to many cars costing twice the price."

Julian Rendell of Autocar said, "(The CS95) fits the bill as a comfy family hauler, with a well-planted cruise, good cabin refinement and a fair balance of body control and ride quality."

He also had kudos for the CS55 instrument panel:  "There's a mix of textures in the dashboard, the switchgear is logically laid out and the weightings of the stalks, controls and buttons have a pleasing solidarity about them."
