The new Changan Raeton Intelligent model was launched on September 27th. This new entry is cultivating change in the mid and luxury car markets.
The Raeton intelligent model is powered by a new 1.5L turbocharged GDI engine paired with an Aisin 6-speed automated mechanical transmission. This powertrain yields 125 kW maximum output and 230 Nm maximum torque. Fuel consumption is an efficient 7.6L per 100 km.
The Raeton Intelligent model is equipped with Delphi's common rail direct injection (CRDI) in which injection pressure is 50 times that of conventional fuel injection systems. This Raeton is also equipped with BorgWarner's new turbocharging system which can boost maximum power to 83 kW/L at 1950 rpm and maximum torque to 153 Nm, outperforming the 2.0L self-priming engine.
Six engine noise reduction technologies such as low-noise oil atomizing, low-noise block group design, roller finger follower with hydraulic lifter adjuster, chain timing, high-pressure oil pump, and torsional vibration damper technology help provide a quieter interior environment. Engine idle noise is low at 61.5 dB, 20% lower than other small displacement engines.
The Raeton Intelligent model has a lane departure warning system and tire pressure monitoring.
Raeton has always been well received for its elegant appearance. The Intelligent model continues the design tradition which makes the vehicle look taller, thinner, and more dynamic. A neatly framed grille declares a stylish presence.
The Raeton Intelligent model is 4900 mm long, 1860 mm wide, and 1500 mm tall with a 2810 mm wheelbase, allowing lots of comfortable space. This new model sports a classic and simple dual color interior, leather seats, 6/8 electric controls, and a dual-zone constant temperature air conditioner.
The In Call 3.0 intelligent interconnection system and T-box function enable voice control, remote control, dynamic navigation, and mobile interconnection.
This new Raeton offers an ultra-rigid structural design and three-layer force transferring route, anti-lock braking, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control, hydraulic brake booster, hill-start assist, and other other active and passive security features to ensure absolute safety. It also possesses a high-performance four-wheeled independent suspension, push-button ignition, electric parking brake, electronic power assisted steering, lane departure warning, and an electric anti-glare rear view mirror.
With the launch of the Raeton Intelligent model, Changan has reinvented its brand image, thereby leading this Chinese brand forward with a more elegant demeanor and more competitive product power.
