Changan Automobile introduced its new powertrain with a test drive event in Chongqing on August 9th. The company launched four models equipped with the new engine/transmission combination.
The latest available Linmax powertrain consists of a 1.5L turbocharged VVT DOHC all-aluminum Blue Core engine with an efficient Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission. This combination yields 115 kW maximum output and 225 Nm maximum torque at 5,500 rpm.
It also produces a significant advantage in fuel economy. This is largely due to the Tiptronic 6-speed automated transmission that boasts 91.2% efficiency, 17% torque boost, and advanced fuel economy. This MPV is easily controlled on congested roads. Its quick shift response and lifelong, maintenance-free transmission oil enables driving convenience. This vehicle is also equipped with start-stop technology from Delphi.
Linmax's 1.5T+6AT model is not only equipped with integrated and electronic brakeforce distribution, hill-hold control supports operation of the Bosch electronic stability program. Linmax has six airbags comprised of Yanfeng KSS airbag assemblies with Bosch airbag controllers. In addition, Linmax sports the smart drive security enhancement package, as well as Delphi's latest generation 77 GHz millimeter-wave radar, lane change assist, blind spot detection, rear collision warning, and intelligent security technology guard, which enhances safety performance.
The upgraded In Call system that comes with this new powertrain includes a new intelligent voice system called Andy. Andy supports many voice-controlled operating instructions such as switch navigation, moonroof, air-conditioning, phone calling, and smartphone apps. Additionally, interior temperature, door locks, and moonroof can be controlled via Remote Assistant. The cruise control auxiliary function is also a highlight of the 1.5L turbo Blue Core/6-speed automatic transmission equipped Linmax.
This Linmax model has a stunning new front end, a stylish exterior, and auto-induction headlights. It also has striking alloy wheels, refined interior decor, and a panoramic sunroof with up to a 98% shading rate. It is exquisite in every way.
The spacious seats are arranged in a 2+2+3 layout. The third row has outstanding head and leg room and is large enough for one to comfortably stretch out. There are also up to 33 separate storage compartments located throughout the vehicle.
Designed to significantly mute the noise level, Linmax also has an aggregation ion generator for triple air purification, as well as intelligent ventilation.
