Changan Automobile began delivering 157 Star Trucks to the Cali, Colombia Municipal Government on December 20th.  This Changan order was the municipality's largest vehicle procurement of 2017, owing to Star Truck's premium quality and competitive pricing.

This is Cali's second Changan purchase.  Following a successful fulfillment in 2016, Cali's 2017 delivery requirements included an aggressive deadline.  Changan rose to the challenge.  Within 10 days of order receipt, every vehicle was loaded for shipment.  Record speed was achieved and production standards were maintained.

At the delivery site in Cali, a Changan representative introduced the company's brand history and vehicle features to a group of local citizens.  The trucks are being produced in batches as a poverty reduction strategy.  The municipal government will sell the trucks to low income households in the region at low prices.
