Changan's popularity grows in South America

In recent years, Changan's South American team and local distributors have been collaborating on a series of marketing initiatives in an effort to create a high-quality brand image.

In the past three years, Changan has maintained a 50% year-on-year growth rate in the South American market.  Through July 2018 CYTD, 10,692 units have been shipped and 9,700 units have been sold.  Changan is expected to achieve 20,000 unit sales in the Latin American region and end the year among the top three Chinese brands in 2018.

In the first half of this year, Changan took its place among the top ten best-selling vehicle brands in Peru.  The company also continued to be first in Chinese vehicle sales for the fourth year in a row.

Changan achieved total sales of 4,267 units in Chile in the same period, ranking in the top three among Chinese brands.  In addition, CX70 was named the best-selling 7-seat SUV and received the Most Valuable Model Award by the Chilean press.

Changan maintains a stable, cooperative relationship with the Colombian government and leasing companies.  Wholesale orders have enhanced Changan's reputation.

Sales in Ecuador have been robust this year.  Six independent showrooms currently operate in the country and another is set to open soon.

The company expects continued success in the South American market as consumers gain familiarity with the brand.
