The 2018 (Africa) China Commodities and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Expo, presented by the Ministry of the People's Republic of China and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, took place in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Changan Automobile was invited to the event.

Zhao Zhongyi, Chinese economic ambassador to South Africa, and Hans Shengjian, deputy director of development, jointly attended the Expo and visited Changan's booth.  Mr. Zhao inquired about Changan's business in the South African market and provided investing information, hoping for a brighter future for the company in South Africa.

Changan's key models in the local market were exhibited: The Star Truck Mini Van drew a lot of attention from visitors.  And the Star Truck Single Cabin impressed visitors with its high quality and competitive price.

During this time, a local distributor-sponsored holiday promotion was already underway.  More than 40 people visited Changan's display on the first day, yielding 10 sales leads.
