Changan sets new Guinness World Record

Changan Automobile successfully attempted a Guinness World Record at the Dianjiang Testing Ground in Chongqing, China.  Fifty-five autonomous Changan CS55 SUVs successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the largest parade of autonomous cars, becoming the world's first vehicle brand to do so.

Whether it is the scale of the self-driving car fleet that participated in the challenge, or the lane that is 12% narrower than the standard lane - all of these conditions put high demands on the autopilot technology.  This challenge is another breakthrough in the Changan's Beidou Tianshu Intelligent Strategy.  It's also a new achievement for Chinese brands.

Changan's cultivation of autonomous driving technology has led to many breakthroughs.  The company has now not only set a new world record but also demonstrated a number of industry-leading intelligent and new energy technologies, including autonomous driving.  The Level 4-class automatic car is the first such auto-driving commercial application in China.  It has executed remote automatic pickup and redelivery, automatic driving on the road, remote parking, and other functions.

The 2,000 kilometer autonomous test drive in 2016 made Changan the leader in automotive intelligence among Chinese brands.  Then the company received smart car road test licenses, becoming the forerunner in the field of intelligent development.
