The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) opened in Las Vegas the first Thursday in January.  Changan Automobile made its CES debut and partnered with Baidu to showcase the most cutting-edge technology in consumer vehicle intelligence.

On November 18th, three Changan new energy vehicles (NEV) were introduced at the 2016 Guangzhou International Automotive Exhibition.

The 2016 Asia Pacific Cooperation Summit (APEC) was held in Lima, Peru.  The Summit, themed "High Quality Growth and Human Development," appealed to member states to seek political consensus, create opportunities for public-private partnerships, and promote state structural reforms.  Changan Automobile facilitated the conference as the designated supplier of conference transport vehicles.

Changan Automobile won a bid to supply 403 freight cars to Cali with the support of the Head Office.  Cali is the third largest city in Colombia.  This order is the largest ever government procurement of Chinese-brand vehicles in Colombia.

The 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show kicked off on November 18, 2016.  Changan Automobile presented its distinguishing models.  The brand-new flagship SUV CS95 - equipped with China's most powerful Blue Core 2.0 TGDI engine - debuted as the highlight of the Changan display.

On November 9th, the 15th Colombia International Auto Show (XV Salon International del Automovil), officially kicked off in Bogota, Colombia.  It is Colombia's largest and most influential auto show. 

While China celebrated its National Day, Paraguay hosted the Transchaco Rally.  Changan Automobile's Eado XT ranks first in the RC5 group for its outstanding performance and excellent peak power, as well as for the first-rate skills of drivers Tico and Jose.  Eado XT is competitive with international auto brands.  In addition, this is the first Rally win for a Chinese brand.

The CS15 launched simultaneously in Chile, Peru, and Bolivia with a media test drive on October 18th.  Media reps from the three countries assembled in Antofagasta, a city in northern Chile.  The journalists drove the vehicles through the Atacama Desert to experience CS15 and test its performance.  The caravan captured a great deal of attention.

On October 12th 2016, the 1.5T GDI Blue Core engine-equipped Changan CS75 was officially launched in beautiful Yining, China. 

The second China Car Performance Challenge (CCPC) wrapped up in Karamay, China on September 18, 2016.  Changan Automobile's New Eado earned champion status in the compact segment five times.
