On May 15th, more than 21,000 participants took their places at the starting line of the Changan sponsored International Marathon in Peru.  The event kicked off with a spectacular two-day opening ceremony in Lima's famous water park.  Later, an excited crowd of spectators gathered at the marathon to support the diverse group of runners.

On April 25th, the 14th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition opened its doors to an excited crowd.  Changan Automobile exhibited several popular models including the driverless car that traveled over 2,000 kilometers to to reach the event, demonstrating the brand's expertise in automotive technology.

On April 17th, the first race of the Chinese Circuit Off-Road Championship (COC) took place in Sichuan Nanxi, China.  A number of automakers participated including Changan, which was represented by the CS75 - one of the brand's most popular vehicles.

On April 12, 2016, a Changan Raeton sedan began an autonomous demonstration drive.  This driverless test drive departed Changan's General Research Institute in Chongqing, China and concluded in Beijing.  At the journey's completion on April 17th, the autonomous car had covered over 2,000 kilometers.  This road demonstration made Changan the first Chinese automaker to have developed and tested an autonomous vehicle on a long distance drive. 

The Changan CS15 Launch Conference was held in Beijing on April 6th.  The conference was presented as big stage play which artfully related how the CS15 metamorphosed from a dream to a successful reality.  At the conference, Changan Automobile joined with reporters from all over the country and students from People's University to witness the excellence of CS15.

Changan Automobile's Chongqing International Marathon got underway at precisely 8:00 am on March 20th, 2016.  The event included a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km) and a mini marathon run (5 km).  The event attracted more than 30,000 runners.  Led by Xu Liuping, Chairman of Changan Automobile, 700 Changan employees participated in the Chongqing International Marathon, demonstrating the steadfastness and perseverance of the Changan team.

The Changan CX70 was unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show.

On January 14th, 2016 CS15s began to roll off the production line.

Changan Automobile is winning one victory after another in 2016 international rally racing.  After taking first place in the first leg of the Peru National Rally on February 28th, the Eado XT won second place at the qualifying race for the Paraguay National Rally.  This second place qualified Changan for a great season of rally racing in Paraguay, and allowed the Eado XT to flex its racing muscles.  The Eado XT Rally Team is now in preparation for the Paraguay National Rally campaign.

The 1.5T equipped 2016 CS35 is now available.
